Mark Fife

Mark Fife FRICS

Chartered Surveyor & Registered Valuer.

Mark has over 35 years’ experience in working in commercial and residential property in the northeast. He also joined Charles Bell as a trainee surveyor back in 1981 and progressed to branch manager before leaving for a short spell with the Local Authority Sunderland City Council Estates Department. He then set up the new survey department of North Legal Property Services before joining Andrew Craig Surveyors in Gateshead. For the last 11 years he has been working for Paragon Mortgages who are a specialist Buy to Let firm. Originally employed as the regional surveyor for the northeast and then as the national managing surveyor. Mark has considerable valuation and survey experience throughout the area and specialises in valuation and condition surveys. He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and enjoys working in the area where he has lived for the vast majority of his life. Mark will be happy to discuss any valuation and survey requirements in greater detail.

Mitchell Fife

Mitchell Fife AssocRICS DEA

Director, Surveyor & Registered Valuer.

Mitchell joined Fife and Kimmitt Surveyors when he left school at the age 16. Whilst working he attended New College Durham to complete an Extended Diploma in construction as well as a dedicated NVQ in surveying. Mitchell has worked within all departments of the company including admin, accounts as well as supporting surveyors on a daily basis. Mitchell now oversees the day to running of the company, carrying out roles a “hands on” director of the company would undertake. He qualified as a Domestic energy assessor in 2015 and has carried out Energy Efficiency Report (EPC’s) across the northeast providing him with extensive knowledge of the efficiency of buildings. He then went onto carry out residential surveyor and Valuer training while shadowing Mark Fife and Bill Kimmitt to expand his knowledge and get hands on training in residential surveying and valuation. Mitchell qualified as a Registered Value and Associate member of the Royal Institution Of Chartered Surveyors in 2021 after 6 years of training. During his time training, Mitchell has carried out a number of valuation’s and residential Home Surveys. Mitchell has also spent time working on larger schemes and developments for a number of Local Authorities. Given his vast time learning and developing his skills, he has an excellent knowledge and understanding construction & building methods, valuation methods of residential property as well as energy efficiency of buildings. Mitchell will be happy to discuss any valuation and survey requirements in greater detail.

Bill Kimmitt

Bill Kimmitt FRICS

Director of surveying, Chartered Surveyor & Registered Valuer.

Bill has only ever worked in property. He joined a famous firm of chartered d surveyors in Sunderland, CHARLES BELL, as a trainee chartered surveyor in 1981. By 1983 he was manager of Charles Bell Estate Agency branches in Seaham & Horden, cutting his teeth during the miners’ strike at that time. He qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1986, claiming the Estates Gazette prize for the highest overall mark in the Commonwealth a rare achievement. Bill became an associate partner in Charles Bell at the age of 24, the youngest in the firm’s 160 year history. When Halifax acquired Charles Bell in 1987, he was promoted from branch manager to senior branch manager and then residential executive & finally to area manager. In doing so, Bill gained huge experience in selling properties throughout the northeast. He is also a fully qualified chartered surveyor & carries out residential surveys and valuations on a daily basis. Bill is regionally renowned as an expert and frequently acts as expert witness in complicated property court issues.

Rebecca Harrison MRICS Bsc Hons

Chartered Surveyor & Valuer.

Rebecca joined Kimmitt and Roberts Estate agents when she left school in 2003 as a sales negotiator. Recognising her talent early, we supported her in her part time day release study to gain her degree in Estate Management from Northumbria University in 2009. In 2011 she became a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor. She carries out surveys and valuations on residential properties throughout the northeast. Rebecca has been involved with property for over ten years, from a sales negotiator to being a qualified Chartered Surveyor, she has immense experience built up as a result of her “hands on “involvement in property transactions over the past decade.

Connor Welch

Administrator Apprentice.

Connor joined us in 2019 as an admin apprentice. He has shadowed Jacqui and Nicola on a daylily basis and has picked up all the skills that they give to offer. He has came on very quickly and is now an essential part of the team, supporting surveyors as well as his colleagues.

Nicola Arrowsmith

Survey Administrator.

Nicola joined Fife and Kimmitt surveyors in 2016 and is a key part of them team. She started working for a firm of solicitors when she was only 16 progressing to a receptionist to a legal secretary. During this time Nicola was involved in processing housing transactions as well as Right to Buy purchases. Nicola supports surveyors and carries out essential day to day running of the admin department. She has extensive knowledge of property transactions including the survey and valuation process.
